Betty Jane Williams, 83, of Waterport. Her faith was made sight when she entered the presence of the Lord on Tuesday, December 13, 2016 at home surrounded by her loving family.
Mrs. Williams was born June 7, 1933 in Medina, a daughter of the late Louie and Anna (Greene) Carpenter. She graduated from Medina High School in the class of 1951. On December 20, 1952 she married the late Kenneth C. Williams. Betty worked as a parent aide for Orleans County Department of Social Services. She enjoyed teaching Sunday school for many years at the Yates Baptist Church and was also an avid reader. Betty will be remembered for being a faithful and loving wife, who care deeply for her children and grandchildren. Always giving unconditional love and encouragement through God’s word. Betty loved the Lord. And strived daily to bring glory and honor to him.
Survivors include 7 daughters, Darlene (Brian) Janas, Jan (John) Seyboth, Char (Tim) Barnett, Kendra (Rob) Moak, Jackie (Kent) Reichard, Jodie (Glenn) Fuller and Dawn (Gerald) Wiggins; son in-law, Bernie Kujawa; 19 grandchildren, Todd, Trini, Craig, Anna, Jill, Joshua, Jay, Joel, Luke, Shauna, Kellen, Jennifer, Heather, Nichole, Matthew, Derek, Kaleab, Keana and Lauren; 11 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; also many nieces and nephews. Besides her husband, she was predeceased by her daughter, Bonnie Kujawa, grandson, Brett Moak and 5 siblings, Norman Carpenter, Edith Smith, Elwin Carpenter, Edna Carpenter and Jessie Hewitt.
The family would like to invite you to join them in a celebration of her life on the Tuesday AFTER CHRISTMAS, December 27th at 11AM at the Yates Baptist Church, 11365 E. Yates Center Rd., Lyndonville, NY 14098. Arrangements were completed through Cooper Funeral Home, 215 W. Center St., Medina.
