Claudia B. Kujawa, nee Britt, of Medina, passed away on January 27, 2017 at Strong Memorial Hospital after a valiant fight with cancer. Claudia was born in Medina, June 19, 1941, the only child of Claude Seth and Ruth Pearl (Swab) Britt. She graduated salutatorian from Albion High School and earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics from the University of Buffalo. From 1963-65, Claudia worked at Cornell Aeronautical Laboratories, a contractor for NASA. She was employed as a Manager in Telecommunications by Eastman Kodak Company from 1966-92. Having been outsourced, she took an early retirement from Eastman Kodak Company to raise Andrea, her late in-life child. She was a single parent, a loving and nurturing mother. She was a member of Pi Mu Epsilon Fraternity, National Honorary Mathematics Fraternity. Claudia volunteered as a Girl Scout Leader, at Towne Elementary School, and at a local food bank. She enjoyed quilting, gardening, travel, reading, crossword puzzles, gambling and spending time with friends. She was a member of the Middleport and Johnson Creek Senior Citizens groups. Survivors include her daughter, Andrea; several nieces and nephews including Joseph (Barbara) Kujawa. She was predeceased by Andrea’s father, James Kujawa. A graveside committal service will be held in the spring at the Britt family plot in Millville Cemetery where she will be interred with her parents. Memorials may be made to any local animal shelters, Hospice of Orleans County or Knights-Kaderli Memorial Fund.
