Obituary of Norman Wayne Waters

Mr. Norman Wayne Waters, of Medina, died on February 23, 2017 at Buffalo General Hospital after a short illness. Mr. Waters was born in Medina, January 9, 1942, a son of the late Valentine and Marion (Smith) Waters, Sr. A lifelong resident of the area, he started his career in farming. He then worked for FMC, Bramer Electric, Niagara Foods and Keeler Construction. He loved the outdoors, was an avid hunter, trapper and fisherman and a “jack of all trades”. He was a member of the National Rifle Association and a former member of the Ridgeway Volunteer Fire Company and Jr. Wilson Sportsmen’s Club. Survivors include his special friend, Dawn Davis and her son Ryan; 2 sons, Robert W. (Darlene) Waters and Kelly (Magali) Waters; 3 grandchildren, Danielle (Brian) Smith, Cody Waters and Jeremiah (Hunter) Waters; 2 step grandchildren, Benjamin and Tirsa; 5 great grandchildren; siblings, Donald Waters, Ione Dimarino, Beverly Quackenbush, and Marion Elmer; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by 8 siblings, Virginia Carpenter, Valentine Waters, Jr., Raymond Waters, Lois Deyarmin, Joyce Michaud, Gary Waters, Larry Waters and Dorothy Strickland. Friends may call on Saturday, March 4, 2017 (2-4, 7-9) at the Cooper Funeral Home, 215 W. Center St., Medina. Memorials may be made to Ridgeway Volunteer Fire Company.
