Obituary of Phyllis J. Pitcher
Mrs. Phyllis J. Pitcher, of Medina, passed away on May 11, 2017 at the Martin Linsin Residence.
Mrs. Pitcher was born in Wilkes-Barre, PA, September 25, 1931, the daughter of the late James and Elizabeth (Heinz) Sayes. On October 21, 1951, she married Frank L. Pitcher and was a longtime Medina resident. She was employed by O’Connor’s Toy Store, G.C. Murphy Company and Fisher-Price Toys. Mrs. Pitcher enjoyed gardening, shopping, spending time on the beach and taking care of her grandchildren and great grandchildren, especially Madison Banker and Alyson Snow.
Survivors include Frank, her husband of nearly 66 years; 2 children, Linda (late Charles W., Jr.) Moore and Richard (Linda) Pitcher; 6 grandchildren, Christina E. (Michelle Wiseman) Nenni, Laurie (Christopher) Banker and Nicole (Scott Roberts) Poler; Richard (Stace) Pitcher, Jr., Brian (Melinda) Pitcher, Sara (Andrew) Szatkowski several great grandchildren, her sister-in-law, Barbara Rowles and family of Niagara Falls; nieces and nephews.
Friends may call on Thursday (2-4, 7-9) at the Cooper Funeral Home, 215 West Center Street, Medina, where her funeral service will be held on Friday at 11AM. Interment will be in Boxwood Cemetery.
