Obituary of Frederick R. Goldsmith

Mr. Frederick R. Goldsmith, 85, passed at his home, on the evening of August 17, 2017, with his daughter Katherine, his granddaughter Jodi and his constant companion Missy, his cat, at his side.

Mr. Goldsmith served his country in the Korean War as a Wireman and was the recipient of two Purple Hearts and the Bronze Star. Fred was a member of Houseman-Tanner Post #1603, American Legion and Lincoln Post #1483, Veterans of Foreign Wars and was a 50-year life member of the Lyndonville Volunteer Fire Company, serving as Chief for many years.

A Celebration of Fred’s Life is being planned for a later date.

Fred's children,Joanne, Donald and Katherine Goldsmith wish to extend a sincere Thank You to Rochester Home Care, especially Jan, and all the girls at Hospice of Orleans, especially Flo, for the wonderful care Fred received.
