Obituary of Roland F. Lindsley

Mr. Roland F. Lindsley, of Middleport, passed away on November 18, 2017 at Eastern Niagara Hospital.
Mr. Lindsley was born in the Town of Shelby, January 24, 1927, a son of the late Robert and Mildred May (Carpenter) Lindsley.  He grew up on the muck and was employed as a truck driver for Schultz Transportation Lines, Inc. and Relco Systems, Inc. in Lockport.
Mr. Lindsley was a lifelong resident of the area.  He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting in his younger years and yard work.  He was often seen at local coffee shops where he enjoyed the company of his many friends.  He was a proud member of the International Brotherhood of Teamsters.
Survivors include his daughters, Patricia Lord of Middleport, Mary Lamont of Newfane and Penny Schultz of Lockhart, TX; step daughter, Sandy (Mike) Diel; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; his sister-in-law, Linda Lindsley of Middleport.  He was predeceased by his wife, Jeanette L. (Gray) on Jan. 9, 2010; his brother, Chuck Lindsley and step son, Kim Waters.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his graveside committal service on Saturday at 11AM at Bates Road Cemetery.  Pastor David Hayes will officiate.
