Obituary of Lue Jean Harvey
Lue Jean Harvey, formerly of Medina fell asleep in death on Saturday, December 9, 2017 at Strong Memorial Hospital following a long illness.
Lue Jean was born in Americus, Georgia on October 4, 1937. She was the daughter of the late Charlie J. and Blanche L. (Harper) Holloway. Lue Jean was employed at BernzOmatic Corp. in Medina for many years. She enjoyed sitting along the creek fishing all day, loved to garden and also enjoyed doing word search puzzles. Lue Jean had strong faith in the Bible and believed Acts 24:15 and John 5:28,29 that it will be fulfilled.
Lue Jean is survived by her daughters, Betty Jean Evans Holloway of Arkansas, Angela (Larry) Taylor of Ft. Myers, Florida, Patricia Doster of Niagara Falls, Lorena Harvey of Albion and Rosalind (Michael) Rhim of Medina; her sons, Johnny Holloway of Buffalo and Leonard Rhodes of Augusta, Georgia; 23 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren. Besides her parents, Lue Jean was predeceased by her brothers, Monroe Holloway and Charlie J. Holloway, Jr.; her daughter, Leslie Rhodes; granddaughters, Jasmine Patterson and Jazmin Camille Rhodes; and grandson, Gary Rhodes.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, Dec. 16th from 12noon-1pm at Cooper Funeral Home, 215 W. Center St., Medina, where her memorial service will immediately follow at 1pm. Elder Matt Roselli of the Kingdom Hall of the Jehovah’s Witnesses in Middleport will officiate.
Burial will take place at a later date in the spring at Boxwood Cemetery.
