Obituary of Allen L. Phillips

Mr. Allen L. Phillips, of Basom, passed away on April 11, 2018 at the Martin-Linsin Residence.

Mr. Phillips was born in the Town of Hartland, March 21, 1932, a son of the late George B. and Alice (Lubs) Phillips.  A graduate of Medina High School, class of 1949, he served with US Army in Korea from 1952-54.   Mr. Phillips was employed by Acme Markets for 25 years.  He also worked for Bells IGA, Mic-Jac Home Improvement Center and retired from Kitchen World.

Survivors include his wife of 65 years, Gladys; 3 sons, Steven (Jeanne), Roland (Sue) and Donald (Kathy) Phillips; 8 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; his sister, Mildred (Milton) Bane; sisters-in-law, Virginia Phillips, Patricia Martin Phillips, and Patricia Pegelow Phillips several nieces and nephews.  He was predeceased by his siblings, Marjorie Enderby, Novina Rose Ander, David, Howard, George and Homer H. Phillips.

A private funeral service will be held at Cooper Funeral Home, Medina.  Military honors will be accorded by members of the Lincoln Post #1483, VFW and Butts-Clark Post #204, American Legion.  Interment will be later in the spring at Alabama Cemetery.
