Obituary of William R. Rosato
Mr. William R. Rosato (Billy Bob to his friends and Phoeba to his Grandchildren) Age 75 passed away peacefully at the Villages of Orleans with his family by his side, following a long illness.
After a lengthy and succesful career at Eastman Kodak, Bill retired in 1991. An avid pilot, he was a founding member of Gaines Valley Airport. He enjoyed golf, cycling and spending time with his family.
He was pre-deceased by his Mother Doris Bates Plummer, His Adopted Father Joe Rosato, Nephew Scott Schutt, Uncle Ray and Aunt Fran Bates.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Shirley Southcott Rosato and his sons Greg(Kelly)Rosato and Jeff(Laurie)Shawver, Grandchildren Brett(Dylana)Rosato, Megan(Justin Morgante) Rosato, and Colin Shawver, Great Grand Daughters Nevaya and Ella Rosato, all of Albion. He is also survived by His Brother Roger(Lynn)Plummer Jr., Sister Patty(Guy)Plummer DiNardo and Nieces Amy Schutt, Randi(Brian)Rushing, Nephew Jim(Shauna)Poler II, several Great Nieces and Nephews, and Dennis(Christine)Peruzzini who was like a son.
Per Bill's wishes, there will be no memorial service and burial will be at the convenience of the family.
In Lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to the charity of one's choice.
Bill's Family would like to express their immense gratitude to the staff of the Dementia/Alzheimers wing at The Villages for their professional and loving care and for their kindness at such a difficult time.
