Obituary of Margaret Mary Parada

Margaret Mary Parada, age 91, formerly of Medina, passed away March 17, 2018 at her home in Oak Ridge, Texas after a short illness.

She was born September 17, 1926 to the late Carl and Anna (Crowley) Hedges of Medina. Margaret was predeceased by her husband of 58 years, Anthony Francis Parada who passed in 2005. Also preceding her in death are her brothers, Robert (Patricia), Raymond (Trudy) and Vincent (Jewel) and her sisters, Lillian (Edward) and Emily (Sister Anne Therese’).

She is survived by her half-brothers, Wayne (Maryann), Brendan (Cynthia), Thomas (Peggy) and Michael (Miriam) and her half-sister, Catherine (Dale).

Margaret is also survived by her five children, Stephen (Linda), James, Robert and two daughters, Catherine (Brent) and Mary. Grandchildren include Christopher, Cynthia (Ray), Emily (Stephen) and one great-grandchild, Noah; also several nieces and nephews.

Margaret was an active member of St. Simon and Jude R.C. Church in The Woodlands, Texas and belonged to their Love Lighters Committee. She helped make dozens of animal pillows for hospitalized children.

Her Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by the Rev. Daniel J. Fawls on Friday, June 22 at 11AM at Holy Trinity Parish, St. Mary’s Church in Medina. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
