Obituary of Josephine M. Malolepszy
Mrs. Josephine M. “JoJo” Malolepszy, of Medina, went home to the Lord on August 13, 2018 at the Medina Memorial Hospital Skilled Nursing Facility at North Wing.
Mrs. Malolepszy was born in Rochester, May 18, 1925, a daughter of the late Vincent and Theresa (Fisher) Kulpinski. On June 14, 1947, she married Edward S. Malolepszy at St. Stanislaus Church in Rochester. She was a secretary at the Club 31 Motel for five years, was employed by Birdseye Snyder for five years, the Thomas J. Lipton Company for fifteen years, Fisher Price Toys and at Orchard Manor Nursing Home, as a nurse’s aide for six and half years, retiring in 1987.
Mrs. Malolepszy was a longtime member of Holy Trinity Parish/St. Mary’s Church and Court Santa Maria #295, Catholic Daughters of the Americas. JoJo was a devoted wife and mother and put God and family first in her life. She enjoyed crocheting, knitting, golfing, swimming and cottage life on Lake Alice.
Survivors include five children, Carolyn (Gerald) Caleb of Union Springs, NY, David (Robin) Malolepszy of Columbus, OH, Kathy (Steve Kmack) Yeager of North Kingston, RI, Marlene (James) Rogenmoser of Medina and Pamela Montague of Waterport; 10 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband of 53 years, Edward, on December 5, 2000; 5 brothers, Thomas, Stanley, Casey, Joseph and Walter Kulpinski; 3 sisters, Veronica Mastowski, Mary Mrzyska and Cecelia Malolepszy.
Friends may call on Friday (4-7) at the Cooper Funeral Home, 215 West Center Street, Medina. The Rosary will be prayed at 4:30 on Friday at the funeral home by members of Holy Trinity Parish and Court Santa Maria #295, Catholic Daughters of the Americas. The Rev. Daniel J. Fawls will celebrate her Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday at 10:30 AM at Holy Trinity Parish/St. Mary’s Church and interment will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
