Jeanette “Gina” Minervino, 62, entered into eternal rest on April 16, 2016. She was born in Medina, February 19, 1954, the daughter of the late Louis and Anania (Ciaccia) Minervino. A graduate of Medina High School, class of 1972, she resided in Medina and Rochester, NY where she was employed in the Zoning Office for the City of Rochester. After she retired, she attended SUNY Brockport and graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree. She was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Parish in Medina. Gina was a loving and generous friend to all who knew her. She had a ready smile and conversation for everyone she met. She enjoyed books, movies and travelling to Celano to visit family. She was quick witted and had a wonderful sense of humor. She loved her many cats and had a quirky personality. Gina will be greatly missed but remembered fondly by her many friends whom she interacted with. She is survived by a dear friend and caretaker, Mary Smith; nieces and nephews including David Minervino; many aunts, uncles, and cousins residing in Celano, Italy. The Rev. Daniel J. Fawls will celebrate her Mass of Christian Burial on Friday at 12:00 noon at Holy Trinity Parish/St. Mary’s Church, Medina, and interment will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery. A luncheon will be held at Holy Trinity Parish Hall following the cemetery committal service.
