Obituary of Henry William Ralph

Mr. Henry W. Ralph, of Lyndonville, passed away on October 15, 2018 at his home.

Mr. Ralph was born in the Town of Gaines, September 27, 1924, a son of the late George and Ethel (Ward) Ralph.  He married Elizabeth J. “Betty” “Mose” Hall on September 22, 1946.  He was a member of the Lyndonville United Methodist Church and was employed by Chevron, as a supervisor in warehousing, for 26 years, and the Lyndonville Central School District for thirteen years.  For many years, he farmed and he enjoyed woodworking.

Active in the community, Mr. Ralph was a longtime member of the Lyndonville Volunteer Fire Company and served on the Village of Lyndonville Board of Trustees.

Survivors include four daughters, Darlene (Terry) Herman of Medina, Lorie (Ron) Reigle of Middleport, Kathy (Don) Goldsmith of Lyndonville and Nancy (Roger) Boisvert of CA; 6 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.  He was predeceased by his wife of nearly 69 years, “Betty” “Mose” Ralph, on May 29, 2015; 3 brothers, Ronald, Daniel and Stanley Ralph and his sister, Ethel Amos.

A private graveside committal service will be held at Lyhnaven Cemetery with Reverend Merrill S. Bender officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Lyndonville Volunteer Fire Company or Hospice of Orleans County, POB 489, Albion, NY  14411-0489
