Obituary of Daniel C. Nicholson

Daniel C. Nicholson, 64, of Medina, NY formerly of Roseville, CA passed away suddenly on Sunday, November 25, 2018.

Born June 15, 1954 in Aberdeen, WA, Dan was a son of the late Larry W. and Marlene (York) Nicholson. He was raised in Ukiah, CA and graduated from Ukiah High School in 1972.  He married his wife, Nancy on April 16, 1990. He and Nancy moved to NY in 2006 and made Medina their home in Feb 2007.  Dan enjoyed playing baseball among other sports and whether Dan was fishing, hunting, gardening or going for a walk, he loved being outdoors.   No one could love family and friends more than Dan, always an open hand to help anyone at any time.  He had a soul that was magnetic.

Besides his parents, Dan was predeceased by his eldest son, Danny Nicholson on December 29, 1993, his youngest son, Kyle Gillum on October 21, 2014 and grandson, Chris Stewart October 17, 2017.

Survivors include his beloved wife, Nancy L. (Billing) Nicholson; his children, Diana (Dave) Gawron, Devon (Danelle) Nicholson and Brian L. (Liz) Gillum; grandchildren, Lindsay (Allan) Leiser, John and Tyler (Jen) Stewart, DJ and Joe Gawron; Devree, Delanie, Daxton and Daegan Nicholson; and Ethan and Mya Gillum; five great-grandchildren; siblings, Dean (late Judy) Nicholson, Dale (Michelle) Nicholson, Darrin (Yasuno) Nicholson, Darcy (Mark) Crook and Dominic (Sofia) Nicholson; also survived by many nieces and nephews.
