Obituary of Roxanna Jean Reckahn
Mrs. Roxanna Jean Reckahn, of East Shelby, passed away on December 1, 2018 at the Orchard Manor Nursing Home.
Jeannie was born in Medina, November 5, 1937, a daughter of the late Milton and Catherine Jessie (Howe) Green. A graduate of Medina High School, class of 1955, she was a lifelong resident of East Shelby. She was employed as a bookkeeper for R.N. Parsons & Son and Agway Energy Products. An active sixty year member of the East Shelby Volunteer Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary, she served faithfully and was a Past President from Nov.1965-Oct. 1967 and Nov. 1977-Oct. 1979. Jeannie was a member of the East Shelby Community Bible Church and was a devoted wife, mother, sister, aunt, grandmother and great grandmother. Jeannie was kind and loving to all.
Survivors include her husband, Charles Ralph; two children, Bruce (Sara) Reckahn and Catherine Buzanski; two step children, James (Diane) Ralph and Todd (Nicole) Ralph; 8 grandchildren, Emily (Joel) Lindsay-Stavange, Rebecca (Ben) Lindsay Schiffer, David “Jake” Lindsay, Cynthia “CJ” Buzanski, Chance Buzanski, Jessi (Travis) Gallop, Stacey (James) Byrd and Jamie Ralph; 4 great grandchildren, Harriet Schiffer, Carson and Kennedy Byrd and Vivian Ralph; her brother, David (Jessie) Green; her son-in-law, David (Brenda) Lindsay; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, Milton and Catherine Jessie; her daughter, Cynthia A. Reckahn Lindsay on March 27, 1994; and her daughter-in-law, Beth Case.
On Thursday, December 6, 2018 at 4:30pm relatives and friends are invited to attend dinner at the East Shelby Volunteer Fire Company. Jeannie’s Celebration of Life Service will be held following dinner at 6pm at the East Shelby Community Bible Church with Pastor Erik Olsen officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the East Shelby Volunteer Fire Company or East Shelby Community Bible Church.
