Obituary of Richard D. Keppler

Mr. Richard D. Keppler, of West Shelby, died suddenly on December 1, 2018 in the Town of Orangeville, Wyoming County, while enjoying a day out hunting with friends.

Dick was born in Buffalo, March 25, 1950, a son of the late Charles E. and Marjorie (Forrestel) Keppler, Sr.  A graduate of Akron High School, he married the former Cathleen Denny on August 21, 1976.  Dick was the owner of A-1 Water Care for thirty years.  He loved the outdoors especially hunting, fishing and skiing.  He was a member of Holy Trinity Parish, the NRA and Ducks Unlimited.

Survivors include his wife, Cathleen; three children, Richard (Abbi) Keppler, Jr., Dawn (Eric) Cousens and Megan (Niall) Boyle; loving grandfather of Richard “Bubby”, Samuel James, Grace Anne, Emma Louise, Niall Lucius and Ginerva Kathleen; siblings, Charles (Patricia) Keppler, Jr., William (Susan) Keppler, Peter (Cheryl) Keppler, Mary Herbert, Marjorie Keppler, Martha (Paul) Jansen and Philip (Dawn) Keppler; several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Friends may call on Thursday (4-7) at the Cooper Funeral Home, 215 West Center Street, Medina.  The Rev. Daniel J. Fawls will celebrate his Mass of Christian Burial on Friday at 1:30 PM at Holy Trinity Parish/St. Stephen’s Church, Middleport.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Holy Trinity Parish.
