Joyce A. Banazwski, 80, of Medina entered into rest on Monday, March 18, 2019 at Medina Memorial Hospital.

Born May 25, 1938 in the Town of Yates, Joyce was a daughter to the late August G. and Gladys M. (Plummer) Riemer. She attended Lyndonville schools and then graduated from Medina High School in the class of 1955. On March 26, 1956 she married Jan G. Banazwski and together they raised a family of four children. Outside of taking care of her family, Joyce enjoyed gardening, cooking and travelling, especially her trips to Atlanta.

Survivors include her loving husband of nearly 63 years, Jan Banazwski; her children, Lorrie (Harold) Watson; Gary (Brenda) Banazwski; Lani (Weyman) Moon and Casey Banazwski; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; sisters, Doris Quintern, Margo Schuner and Carol Hibbard; also several nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents she was predeceased by her brother, Donald Riemer and sisters, Marian Warne, Shirley Schnackel and Marylou Young.

At Joyce’s request there will be no formal services. Burial will take place in Lynhaven Cemetery in Lyndonville.

In lieu of flowers the family would greatly appreciate memorial donations in Joyce’s name be made to the American Diabetes Association- 4955 N. Bailey Avenue, Suite 217, Amherst, New York, 14226.
