Dorothy worked as a business teacher at Medina High School for many years. After she retired, she went on to a second career developing and managing apartments in the area.

Dorothy was predeceased by her former husband, Michael Bokman and her partner later in life, Bob Walker. She is survived by her son, Brad (Michele) Bokman; her loving grandchildren, Natalie (Ryan) Seal, Chelsea, Matt and Mitch Bokman; and several relatives.
