Ray and Gerry have always been role models for us ever since first meeting shortly after we were married. Thanks for being there for us all these years. You were one of the easiest persons to be with and some day I look forward to seeing you again. With affection forever!

Uncle Ray.... a gentle kind soul. Always positive... I remember from younger years times with him and his younger family at Aunt Pete and Doc's. And fond memories when he and I would chat through the window opening at Schmitts Grocery Ridgeway. He'd get gas or kerosene along with Max in the Pick Up truck, eagerly awaiting the Snickers Bar he would by for Max. We'd chat... he always had a smile and a kiss goodbye for me through the window. Loved touring his workshop, and touring the property and the lil' cabin down back.... miss those times. My Mom Marilyn his neice, would say "Is this the muffin factory?" When she would call Her favorite Uncle Ray, and Gerry, best blueberry muffins ever! Yes they were yummy! Our sympathy to all who remain... and our love. Jeff and Brenda Baehr and Marilyn Ramsey

My memories of Uncle Ray and our trips to New York to visit I will cherish forever.
Uncle Ray always showed us new adventures each and every visit. Adventures we never got to experience growing up in the “city” in Michigan.
Uncle Ray always made sure to take us out in the woods and show us all his wonderful creations and his wonderful quite spots where he loved to spend his time.
Then once I had my own kids, he continued the same wonderful memories with my kids. They loved those moments just as much as I did. They had always heard my stories and memories with Uncle Ray then they got to make their own with him. Which was so amazing to watch.
Uncle Ray was “one of a kind” a jack of all trades.
I loved the relationship my father (Floyd) and Ray had the two of them together joked and smiled and always had a great time together. Another one of my favorite memories of coming out to visit.
Now you both are together again in heaven, cracking jokes and smiling as always.
Rest In Peace Uncle Ray, you will forever be in our hearts and prayers and ALL or wonderful memories.
We Love You
Love Lynne, John and Family (Cude)

I met Mr. and Mrs Callard through their daughter and my best friend Lori. When ever I was in need of help getting rid of the wood chucks eating my garden or the racoon killing my chickens I would call Mr Ray. He came right down and with his wisdom would tell me what and where the pests were getting in. My most vivid memory will always be a clever wood chuck avoiding the trap and Mr. Ray wouldn't hear of that so he went to my window and waited for what seemed to be forever (barely 30 minutes) and shot that woodchuck at least 50 feet from our house. When ever I had a question about wild life he was my go to man. I will miss that smile whenever I saw him. Rest in peace I will keep Lori in check I promise.

I am so sorry for your loss. Ray was one of the best. His love for Gerry and the way he would light up when she was in the room. His stories would have you rolling with laughter. He had an amazing heart and zest for life. I will miss his smile and hugs. Ray had this way of making you feel like you were the only one, when there could be a hundred people around you. He was a true gift to this earth and will be an amazing angel in Heaven.
