Obituary of Carolyn P. Beecher

Carolyn P. Beecher, 77 of Medina entered into rest on October 5, 2019 at the Medina Memorial Hospital.

Born March 29, 1942 in Medina Carolyn was a daughter of the late Ronald and Ethel (Male) Patten. She graduated from Medina High School in the class of 1960. Carolyn worked for White’s Greenhouse, Bells IGA as a cashier and finally as a reservation officer at Darien Lake. She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Medina, Johnson’s Creek Senior Citizens Club and also a former member of the Red Hat Society. Carolyn volunteered with TWIGS at Medina Memorial Hospital, in the activities department at Orchard Manor Nursing Home and also the reading lab at the Warren P. Towne Elementary School.  Whether she was in a canoe or on the beach, she loved being on the water and was also an avid reader.

Carolyn was predeceased by her husband of 55 years, Robert W. Beecher on January 31, 2016.

Survivors include her daughter, Deb Saunders of Medina; son, Craig Beecher of New Caney, TX; five grandchildren, Patrick Burchard, Alicia Wylupek, Zachary Beecher, Brendan Beecher and William Beecher; two great-grandchildren, Savannah Burchard and Finn Barhydt; two sisters, Sandy Terryberry and Donna (Francis) Grabowski. 

Her graveside committal service will be held on Thursday, Oct. 10th at 11 a.m. in Boxwood Cemetery. The Rev. Larry Eastlack will officiate. Arrangements are in the care of Cooper Funeral Home, 215 W. Center St., Medina.
