Charles W. “Billy” Grier, 49, of Medina passed away peacefully at his home on Saturday, November 16, 2019.

Born May 27, 1970 in Medina, Billy was the son of Charles W. “Bill” Grier, Sr. and Linda J. (Scarborough) Grier. He attended Medina Central School. He worked as a cook for many local restaurants. Prior to his illness, Billy enjoyed camping and spending time with his friends and family. He always has a special place in his heart for dogs.

Billy was predeceased by his father, Bill. He is survived by his mother, Linda J. Grier; children, Ryan W. Grier, Jenna J. Grier and Jacob W. Grier; granddaughter, Julianna; sister and brother in-law, Daphne and Todd Hughes; nephews, Jason and Nicholas Hughes; great-nieces, McKinlee and Delaney Hughes; aunt and uncle, Peggy and Richard Furness; and many cousins, with whom he shared lots of great memories. He also leaves behind many great friends. It seems there was no one who wasn’t a friend of his. Billy was often described as having a great heart and was always there when you needed him.

Friends and family are invited to attend Billy’s Celebration of Life this Saturday, November 23rd at 4 p.m. at the Sacred Heart Club, 189 N. Gravel Rd., Medina. Arrangements are in the care of Cooper Funeral Home, 215 W. Center St., Medina.
