Obituary of Maggie Kenward

Please share a memory of Maggie to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Maggie Kenward, 89, of Albion passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 23, 2019 at the Orchard Manor Nursing Home in Medina, two days shy of her 90th birthday.

Born November 25, 1929 in Bickmore, West Virginia, she was a daughter to the late John and Annie (Dawson) Brown. She married Willie E. Taylor and together they raised a family of fourteen children. They moved to the area from West Virginia in the early 1950’s, first to Kuckville and then to Middleport. Sadly, her husband Willie died in 1969. A hardworking and loving mother, Maggie dedicated most of her life to raising her family. She was a great cook, enjoyed listening to gospel music, but mostly enjoyed spending time with her loving family.

Survivors include her husband of 22 years, Wayne Kenward; nine children, Anna (late Harold) Fidanza, Rosa (Ron) McCabe, Michael Taylor, Bruce (Patti) Taylor, Ronald Taylor, Jewell Taylor, Bernice Russell, Charlotte (Bud) Holler and Pamela (Ken Cornell) Cobb; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Beside her parents and first husband, she was predeceased by five children, Billy Taylor, Eula Joe Miller, Robert Taylor, Dorothy Kim Crosby and Jerry Taylor.

There will be no prior visitation. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Maggie’s memory may be made to the Alzheimer's Association of WNY, 6215 Sheridan Drive, Suite 100, Amherst, NY 14221. Arrangements are in the care of Cooper Funeral Home, 215 W. Center St., Medina.
