Mrs. Elizabeth A. “Betty” Ferri, of Medina, passed away suddenly on June 20, 2016 at the Millard Fillmore Suburban Hospital. Mrs. Ferri was born in Medina, February 15, 1935, a daughter of the late Joseph and Bertha (Konopa) Stawicki. A graduate of Medina High School, class of 1954, she married Michael T. Ferri, Sr. in 1956. Active in the community Mrs. Ferri and her husband owned and operated Ferri’s Supermarket, Bells IGA, Mic-Jac Home Improvement Center, Citizens Storage, Inc. and Maple Ridge Florist. Survivors include two sons, Frank (Angela) Ferri and David Ferri; daughter-in-law, Tina Ferri, 3 grandchildren, Gabriella (Joseph) Pawlak, David (Ellen) Ferri, Alyssa Ferri; 2 great grandchildren, Michael and Julian Pawlak; 2 sisters, Mary Garrett and Teresa (George) White; 3 sisters-in-law, Thelma Stawicki, Bettie Jean Stawicki and Isabelle Cotter; her dear cousin, Sister Presentia; many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her husband on Dec. 30, 1993; her son, Michael T. Ferri, Jr., on January 1, 2004; a sister, Josephine Boudreau and 5 brothers, John, Thomas, Anthony, Vincent and Walter Stawicki. Private family entombment will be at St. Mary’s Cemetery Mausoleum. A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in the future. Memorials may be made to Lee-Whedon Memorial Library or a charity of one’s choice.
