Obituary of Betty A. Mason

Betty A. Mason, 83, of Medina entered into rest on Friday, October 2, 2020 at the Orchard Manor Rehab & Nursing Center.

 

Born March 21, 1937 in Medina, Betty was a daughter to the late George A. and Winifred (Pritchard) Mason. She grew up on the family farm and graduated in 1955 from Medina High School. Betty worked as a housekeeper and maintenance worker for many years. She cleaned for various doctor’s offices, homes, Monroe Electronics in Lyndonville, Medina Memorial Hospital and also worked as a teacher’s aide at the Towne Elementary School.  She was a longtime active member of the First Baptist Church in Medina and also belonged to #381 Order of the Eastern Star. Betty loved all animals, especially her cats.

 

Preceded in death by her parents; brother, Paul Mason; and sister, Jean Willgens.

Survived by nieces and nephews, Barbara (Tom) Pritchard, Paula (Phil) Scimeca; Scott (Christine) Mason and Craig (Renee) Mason; many great-nieces and nephews.

 

Her graveside committal service will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 7th at 10:00 a.m. at the Bates Road Cemetery. The Rev. Michael Stephenson, pastor of the First Baptist Church will officiate. Memorial donations may be made to PAWS, 3371 Gains Basin Rd., Albion, NY 14411 or to the First Baptist Church 203 West Center St., Medina, NY 14103. Arrangements are in the care of Cooper Funeral Home, 215 W. Center St., Medina.
