David and I went to school together in Medina. We hung out back in our grade school days, riding banana seat bikes, racing 1/32nd slot cars, or just hangen together as kids do. I remember Dave and I both went down to the railroad tracks the morning after the big derailment of train cars on Christmas eve down near the now train station museum.
We inspected all the open cars and likely weren't supposed to be there but did it anyway.
Dave was a good friend and school colleague. I had recently talked with Dave down at Captain Kids restaurant back in fall of 2015. He said he was retiring from work and planning to get married. I was very happy for him.
I just wanted to express my condolences to his wife and family. He was a good friend.
