I lived beside the Herbert's on N. Spring St. in Greensboro, NC when Herbie was a young boy and his father, Mr. Herbert, was the school principal at Aycock School. I have fond memories of their whole family...the nicest lady housekeeper, Ida, the grandmother who lived with them, Dan Lyon, and I remember when William was born. I was older than Herbie and was actually a friend and playmate of Herbie's older half-sister, Ginger. Would like to know if Ginger is still living. Barbara Moore. Babettegboro@yahoo.com
