Nate was a classmate and friend of mine at Buffalo State. We enjoyed our religious studies and philosophy classes very much as well as our conversations about our shared love of coffee and wine. I always appreciated Nate's contributions to our class discussions. He was intelligent, quick, and funny. His love for Milo was evident and his passion for philosophy and learning was inspiring. My deepest condolences go out to his family.

I had never met him, but knowing Rodney he was probably a great young man. My deepest of condolences and sorrows to anyone affected. Hope you all find peace sooner than later. Try not to be sad that he is gone, smile because you knew him.

Nate loved all animals and he especially loved dogs. He would beam when he could hold or be near a dog. He told me that Kangaroos would visit at Newfane Rehabilitation Center. Through his information a Kangaroo and other animals visited students with vision impairment at Olmsted Center for Sight. The kids just loved being with all the animals. Nate made 10 young people very happy. He will be missed so much by those who worked with him. He touched our lives so much. Sending much love and prayers to his family who supported him each day. My deepest sympathies to Nate's family.
I was Nate's teacher at Buffalo State. I will always remember his passion for philosophy. He was always the first with his hand up, always had a good question or an interesting thought to share. I hope he knew that even though he was the student, we all learned much from him.
