John L. Vader, age 72, of Medina entered into rest on Sunday, August 29, 2021 at the WNY VA Health Care System in Buffalo.

Born September 25, 1948 in Buffalo, John was a son of the late Clarence L. Vader and Doris (Bissonette) and Louis Miles. A Vietnam veteran, John proudly served in the United States Marine Corps from 1965-1967.

Beloved husband of Patricia A.(Carroll) Vader of Medina; loving father of Kimberly (Randy) Taylor of FL, the late Eric (Misti) Charache and John (Mary Ellen) Vader, Jr. of Medina; very special grandpa to Griffin, Mia and Zara Taylor, Richie and Addie Miller, Eric, Jr., Aubree and Maverick Charache and Jill Vader; brother of Laura (Jose) Benavides of PA, Michael (Mary Anne) Miles of NC and the late Terry Gordon and Leanne Strock; several nieces and nephews; and best friends, Dan “The Kid” (Sheila) Tabor.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, Sept. 2 from 10-11:00am at Calvary Tabernacle Assembly of God Church, 324 Catherine St., Medina, with military honors accorded at 11:00am and a memorial service to follow. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Calvary Tabernacle Assembly of God Church, PO Box 625, Medina, NY 14103. Arrangements are in the care of Cooper Funeral Home, Medina.
