Dear Pam, I'm so sorry to hear that Frank has passed. As a young kid I used to set pins in the alley on East Center Street, but I got to know Frank quite well when the Medina teachers bowled once a week in the Main Street location. I know Frank will be missed by all of Medina.

There are no words to say how much Fabulous Frankie meant to so many of us. So many great memories- some of the best times I ever had were at the lanes on Main St. What a Medina Legend he was! Rest In Peace Frankie. Keeping his family and friends in my thoughts and prayers. May your happy memories help you at this difficult time.

I loved talking to Frank at the front desk. He shared his stories with me about his his wife and children bowling being in the service. He was a character. He would joke around with the staff and other residents. He will be missed by all. I really loved seeing him with his wife Patricia and his kids. The smile on his face when he looked at me and said this is my wife and girls was truely priceless. May God bless you all. Sending prayers, love and hugs to you all. From Pam Frasier

I knew of Frankie Boy when I was a very young kid but didn’t meet him until he became my boss when he took over Medina Lanes in 1986. I was one of the lucky ones who stayed employed there being he let all but 2 or 3 of us go. I had the privilege of the many things that Frank taught me but it was the wonderful people I got to meet and become part of his family and extended family.
In the Fall of 1988 I enlisted in the US Army, Frank being a Marine was proud of me but quite mum about me leaving for boot camp.. I returned home in the spring of 1991, fresh from combat in Desert Storm, I couldn’t wait to go see Frank! I made my way into the bowling alley “thinking he’d jump out of his barstool to greet me” but no… I walked up and he says with his arms crossed over his chest, “well Sonny Boy, I see ya made it back from that all expense paid trip to Boy Scout Camp” as that simple smile came about him…
I bowled my first perfect game “300” in 1992, Frank set up 12 shots of crown royal across the bar “one for each strike” it took me a hour to drink 5 of them… “YUCK” I said “Frank I don’t think I can I can drink the rest of those” he says “I was hoping you’d say that sonny” Lol as he drank one after the other in a very short period of time…
I’ll miss him… He meant the world to me… but the stories, the memories, and laughs will out live us all..
As Frank would say on most nights around closing time,
“It’s Soooo-Long, It’s BEEN GOOD to know ya!”
Sonny Boy

Frank was a one-of-a-kind individual, whose uniqueness is what makes the 'world go round.' His total dedication to family and friends was a treasure, a gift to those who knew him. His Marine Corps bravado was more often-than-not betrayed by the twinkle in his eye and the warm smile that invariably followed. His obituary was wonderfully put together, describing so much, so accurately in such a short space. He will be greatly missed but his memory will forever bring a smile and story to mind whenever his name is mentioned. My condolences to his wonderful children ... and to Frank, (and Pat) thanks for the memories.

Condolences to the Ranallo family. Frank gave many, many people wonderful memories. I recall that Frank tried to teach me to play Euchre on the O'Brien's bus on the way to a Bill's game...I think I was the only person he could not teach to play Euchre.....

To know Frank was to love Frank. Very fond and fun filled memories of the bowling lanes with my family when he owned it. Later in life our paths would cross again when I would visit with him at the nursing home, he was my moms neighbor across the hallway when she was there for rehab at one point. He would always call me over and we would look through photo albums of him and his family, he knew who every one was too l, naming them all off as he went through them. Great man, always a smile on his face and a witty quote. My sincere condolences to his family. RIP Frank, you will be missed by all that knew you.
