Obituary of Dolores A. Kraatz

Dolores A. Kraatz, of Medina, entered into rest on Monday, April 18, 2022 at the Martin-Linsin Hospice Residence in Albion.

Born March 27, 1939 in Medina, she was a daughter of the late Charles E. and Beatrice (Scharlau) Kraatz. Dolores grew up on her family farm in Ridgeway and attended the one room schoolhouse across the road from the farm. She enjoyed taking care of family pets and tending to the farm animals. Dolores worked for many years cleaning with the Arc of Genesee Orleans mobile crew. She was a proud member of the Ridgeway Vol. Fire Co. Ladies Auxiliary and also was a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Middleport. Dolores loved taking Sunday drives with her father and also enjoyed playing bingo.

In addition to her parents, Dolores was predeceased by a niece, Justine Balk.

Left to cherish her memory are her brother, C. Gary (Beth) Kraatz of Middleport; nieces and nephew, Debra (Jeff) Neuman, Randy Fuller and Tammy (Chris) Feenan; and great-nieces and nephews, Mark, Donald, Ely, Jack, Nathan and Mollie.

The family extends a heartfelt thank you to Dolores’ devoted caretakers for their loving care over the years, Paula, Tammy, Brandi, Steph and Wendy.

An hour of calling will be held on Saturday, April 23^rd from 10-11:00am at Cooper Funeral Home, 215 W. Center St., Medina with a funeral service immediately following at 11:00am. Rev. Richard Wolf will officiate and interment will be in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Arc of Genesee Orleans, 64 Walnuts St., Batavia, NY 14020.
