Mrs. Ruth A. Pritchard, of Medina, passed away on November 18, 2016 at the Martin-Linsin residence. Mrs. Pritchard was born in the Town of Shelby, July 8, 1934, a daughter of the late John C. and Cornelia “Dolly” (Smith) Boyce. A graduate of Medina High School, class of 1952, she was employed as a hairdresser for over forty years. Ruth was a very social person. She enjoyed parties and spending time with family and friends. She golfed, bowled and enjoyed her lawn and garden. She spent many happy hours at the casino. Survivors include her husband, Donald J.; her son, Glenn (Lauren) Hofert of San Diego and her daughter, Cindy (William) Stear; 3 grandchildren, Jerod, William III and Samuel; 2 step sons, Mike (Janet) Pritchard and Daniel (Debbie) Pritchard; 4 step grandchildren, Nicole, Bob, Brittany and Casey; a brother, Richard (Noreen) Boyce; sister-in-law, Theresa Boyce; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her 3 sisters, Natalie Boyce, Rita M. Wienke and Mary Sellers and her brother, Thomas A. Boyce, Sr. Friends may call on Wednesday (3-5) at the Cooper Funeral Home, 215 West Center Street, medina, where her Celebration of Life Service will be held at 5 PM. The Rev. Thomas Gardner will officiate. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Orleans County or St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
